सांसद महेश गिरी ने नियम 377 के अंतर्गत किसानों द्वारा इस्तेमाल किये जाने वाले जानलेवा हानिकारक कीटनाशकों के उपयोग पर प्रतिबंध लगाने की मांग सदन में समक्ष रखा।
नई दिल्ली 19 दिसम्बर, 2017। भाजपा राष्ट्रीय मंत्री व पूर्वी दिल्ली सांसद महेश गिरी ने आज नियम 377 के अंतर्गत किसानों द्वारा इस्तेमाल किये जा रहे जानलेवा कीटनाशकों पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का मामला संसद सदन में उर्वरक मंत्रालय के समक्ष रखा।
सांसद ने कहा कि हाल ही में महाराष्ट्र में जहरीले कीटनाशकों के कारण 30 से अधिक किसानो की मौत एवं 400 से अधिक किसान गंभीर रूप से प्रभावित हुए है। इनमें से एक कीटनाशक मोनोक्रोटोफॉस 2013 में 23 बच्चो की मौत का कारण बना था। विश्व स्वस्थ्य संगठन द्वारा जारी हानिकारण कीटनाशकों की क्लास 1 श्रेणी में मौजूद इस कीटनाशक समेत कुल 18 कीटनाशक भारतीय खेती में धड़ल्ले से प्रयोग किये जाते है। उन्होंने सदन में बताया कि हमारे देश में उपयोग किये जाने वाले कीटनाशकों में लगभग 30% इस श्रेणी से है ।NCRB के मुताबिक देश में पिछले साल जहरीले कीटनाशकों के कारण 7500 से अधिक जाने गई ।
महेश गिरी ने कहा कि 2013 में सरकार ने दुनियाभर में बैन 66 बेहद घातक कीटनाशकों की समीक्षा करने के लिए एक समिति बनाई थी परन्तु इस समिति ने केवल 18 कीटनाशकों पर ही पाबंदी लगाई।
सांसद ने उर्वरक मंत्रायल से अनुरोध किया कि हमें उनके स्वस्थ के प्रति गंभीरता से विचार करना चाहिए और जल्द से जल्द बाकी बचे 48कीटनाशकों को भी तत्काल प्रतिबंधित किया जाना चाहिए।
MP Maheish Girri has raised issue under rule 377 and demanded a ban on the use of deadly harmful insecticide used by farmers
New Delhi 19 December 2017: The BJP National Secretary and East Delhi Member of Parliament Maheish Girri today raised issue under rule 377 of the Parliament and demanded Ministry of Fertilizer to ban banning the use of harmful insecticide used by farmers.
MP said that recently, more than 30 farmers died and more than 400 farmers were seriously affected due to use of poisonous pesticides in Maharashtra. One of these insecticide Monocrotophos caused the death of 23 children in 2013. Total number 18 such insecticide that are listed under Category-1 of World Health Organization’s including this one are widely used by the our farmers. He informed the House that out of total consumption in the country, about 30% of the insecticide used belong from this category. According to the National Crime Records Bureau, last year in India more than 7500 died due to use of these toxic pesticides.
Maheish Girri said that in 2013, the Government had constituted a committee to review 66 extremely dangerous insecticide used across world, but this Committee banned only 18 insecticides.
MP requested the Ministry of Fertilizer that it should seriously take cognizance of hazardous impacts of these harmful insecticide on health of farmers and consider banning remaining 48 insecticide immediately.
