चरस के साथ चार छात्र गिरफ्तार
हर साल नए हर बार नए साल के जश्न पर ड्रग और चरस की सप्लाई दिल्ली में बढ़ जाती है इस कारण नारकोटिक्स कंट्रोल विभाग भी काफी निगरानी इन दोनों में रखता है । कोशिश रहती है कि ड्रग्स और चरस की सप्लाई न हो पाए । नारकोटिक्स कंट्रोल ब्यूरो दिल्ली की जोनल यूनिट ने नए साल के जश्न पर तैयारी के लिए यूनिवर्सिटी और शिक्षण संस्थानों के आसपास ड्रग सप्लाई करने वाले गिरोह के चार स्टूडेंट्स को गिरफ्तार किया है। इनमें से आरोपी स्टूडेंट्स हिंदू कॉलेज के एक JNU का चौथा एमिटी यूनिवर्सिटी का है इनके पास से 1.140 किलोग्राम चरस बरामद की गई है । गौरव कुमार हिंदू कॉलेज का BA का स्टूडेंट है, सेम मलिक जेएनयू का MA Philosophy का और अनिरुद्ध माथुर एमिटी यूनिवर्सिटी का और
तेनजिन Phunchog DU के हिन्दू कोलिज के M Sc फिजिक्स का छात्र है ।
पिछले कुछ महीनों से एनसीबी दिल्ली की जोनल यूनिट को कुछ इनपुट मिल रहे थे कि दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी और जेएनयू के आसपास ट्रक सप्लाई होगी जिसके तहत इस गिरोह को पकड़ा गया ।
पिछले कुछ महीनों से एनसीबी दिल्ली जोनल यूनिट दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय जवाहरलाल नेहरू यूनिवर्सिटी और एमिटी यूनिवर्सिटी जैसे संस्थानों के आसपास नशीले पदार्थों के और दवाओं के बारे में जानकारियां प्राप्त कर रही थी लेकिन कोई ठोस जानकारी पिछले दिनों में प्राप्त नहीं हुई थी । DG NCB रीना मित्रा ने परिसर में छात्रों के साथ ड्रग्स के बढ़ते संबंधों पर गहरी चिंता व्यक्त की थी और दिल्ली जोनल यूनिट को सख्त निगरानी रखने के लिए निर्देश दिया था । एनसीपी दिल्ली यूनिट ने एक केंद्रित दृष्टिकोण में इन संस्थानों के परिसर में नशीली दवाओं के मामले में खुफिया जानकारी विकसित करना शुरू की । 28 दिसंबर को एनसीबी दिल्ली को यह जानकारी मिली कि आने वाले नए साल के समारोह के लिए कोरियर के माध्यम से जयपुर से दिल्ली विजय नगर में डीटीडीसी कार्यालय में चरस आ रही है । एनसीबी की टीम पहुंची और 03 LSD Blots सीज किये ।
CRACK DOWN ON STUDENTS INVOLVED IN TRAFFICKING AND ABUSE OF DRUGS BY NARCOTICS CONTROL BUREAU – DELHI ZONAL UNIT
ARREST OF 04 STUDENTS (HINDU COLLEGE, JNU AND AMITY UNIVERSITY) AND SEIZURE OF 1.140 KGS. CHARAS AND 03 NOS OF LSD BLOT PAPERS
Since the last few months, NCB,Delhi Zonal unit has been receiving inputs about drug peddling and intense abuse of drugs around institutional areas like Delhi University, Jawaharlal University and Amity University. But no concrete information was received. DG NCB Rina Mitra expressed serious concern on growing abuse of drugs amongst students in campus and directed Delhi Zonal Unit to keep strict vigil.NCB Delhi Unit in a focused approach began developing intelligence inputs regarding drug peddling in the campus areas of these institutions. On 28/12/2017 , NCB , Delhi received an information that 03 nos of LSD blots will be shipped through DTDC courier to Jaipur for the upcoming new year celebrations. Acting on the information, NCB, Delhi reached the DTDC office at Vijay Nagar and seized the consignment of 03 LSD Blots. In the follow up action 1.140 kgs charas was recovered from Gaurav Kumar and three other persons viz; Sam Mallick, Aniruddh Mathur and Tenzin Phunchog , who have been apprehended. During interrogation they revealed that they are students of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Amity University and Delhi University (Hindu College).
Further investigation and interrogation revealed that Gaurav Kumar , student of Hindu college has been into drug peddling in and around the North campus area. He procures the charas(Hashish) from one NeelChand, of Himachal Pradesh and sells them to students and others in the north campus area. He also revealed that he had booked the parcel containing LSD to Jaipur through one of his friends viz; Sam Mallick who is a student of JNU. Gaurav kumar alongwith Aniruddh Mathur, Tenzin Phunchog went to Himachal Pradesh on 24th December. They stayed at a village named Choj at a home stay which is Neelchand’s House. It is pertinent to mention that NeelChand is a kingpin of drug trafficking racket operating from HP and is already wanted in a case of NCB, Delhi .They went to different villages such as Choj, kalga, Kherganga , Malana and abused charas during the trip. Gaurav Kumar is a student of Hindu College, Delhi University.
Aniruddh Mathur, Tenzin Phunchog and Sam Mallick are all abusers of charas and used to get it from Gaurav. They have also informed that abuse of drugs is rampant in the Delhi University campus area .They have given information about drug peddlers and others involved in the racket which is further being verified.
Further investigation of the case is going on and NCB, Delhi Zone is committed to fight against the abuse and peddling of drugs specially in and around the institutional campus areas.

DDG Northern Region S K Jha has appreciated the timely action taken by the Delhi Unit under leadership of Shri Madho Singh and Superintendent Smt Tullika Morang on Eve of New Year which will serve as deterent for those scrupulous elements who are playing with the lives of young students of these prestigious institutions. Shri S K Jha has also appealed to Academic Institutions to keep vigil on such activities in the campus.
