The first meeting of All India Wallpaper Covering Association held in Delhi to promoted trade!
For the very first time, the All India Wallpaper Covering Association (AIWA) held its ‘Meet & Greet’ on 12 December 2017 at MGM Residency, New Delhi. The main motive behind this meeting is to promote Trade. The entire members along with 47 Importers of India were gathered together to thank finance minister Mr. Arun Jaitley and PM Narendra Modi appreciating their move towards reducing GST rate on the wallpaper to 18%, in turn, helping the wallpaper industry to grow and boom.
Association President Mr. Baldev Sharma and General Secretary Mr. Keval Mehta cordially honored Mr. Manoj Jain with ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ thanking him for his vision and outstanding efforts, dedication, and commitment which has helped the trade to scale to new heights.
The association also decided with a consensus to represent before the governmental authorities for extending the benefits of skill development programme to the workersKaarigars of wallpaper industry. They shared, this programme is an initiative by National Skill Development Corporation in association with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. This is a welcome move and seeks to provide skill training to thousands of workers of this industry which would definitely act as a step in the realization of Prime Minister’s vision of transforming India into the skill capital of the world.
