Delhi Dussehra 2026: A 30-Foot Cockroach Effigy Alongside Ravan!
AA News
A unique addition is planned for the Shree Keshav Ramleela in Pitampura, Delhi. Along with the traditional effigies of Ravan, Kumbhkaran and Meghnad, a giant 30-foot cockroach effigy will also be burned.
According to the organising committee, the cockroach represents dirt and filth, and the initiative aims to promote the Swachh Bharat and Swachh Delhi campaigns. Committee president and BJP MLA Ashok Goel Devraha has said the decision is not politically motivated. The announcement has drawn attention amid ongoing protests by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).
